Seacon, Isle of Dogs

The redevelopment of a 0.83 hectare riverside site formally used as a wharf on the Isle of Dogs.

—Planning permission was obtained for the redevelopment of this disused riverside site to provide 239 residential flats (55 of which were affordable) in three blocks of 5, 11, and 21 storeys in height, including commercial units at ground floor level, landscaping, and riverside walkway.

—Permission was originally granted for the tower to be 16 storeys high. We negotiated through a revised permission for an additional  5 storeys after construction had started. The permission arrived at about the time that the 14th storey of the frame had been erected
